China has achieved mass production of its first CNC numerical control system embedded with AI large-model chips, marking a major breakthrough in domestic high-end industrial machine tools. The new Huazhong 10-type AI CNC system has been included in the 2026 Innovative Industrial Machine Tool Product List released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, breaking the long-term technical blockade of foreign high-end CNC systems.

For decades, China’s precision and five-axis machining industries have relied heavily on imported systems from Siemens and FANUC. In 2026, the supply cycle of Japanese and European CNC systems has extended to six months with frequent stock shortages. More overseas buyers from Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Eastern Europe have begun large-scale testing and procurement of domestic AI CNC equipment.

Equipped with adaptive cutting and intelligent thermal error compensation functions, the new system can adjust cutting parameters in real time during the processing of new energy equipment shells and medical precision parts. It effectively reduces tool vibration and wear, and greatly improves the yield rate of mass precision processing. The rapid iteration of domestic intelligent CNC systems is continuously reducing the equipment procurement cost of domestic processing factories and enhancing the competitiveness of China’s precision parts export business.
