This precision CNC milled L-type right angle bracket is a fully custom machined component engineered for industrial automation, fixture positioning, linear stage assembly, and precision equipment applications. Manufactured from solid aerospace-grade aluminum bar stock via 5-axis simultaneous milling, every bore, countersink, and reference edge holds ±0.002mm positional tolerance to ensure zero play during high-load, high-precision operation. Designed and produced by your in-house CNC milling workshop, this part ships with full inspection reports, deburred sharp edges, and a clean brushed finish ready for anodization, assembly, or direct installation.

This custom L-type machining block is one of our most widely requested CNC milled workholding and structural components, produced from a single solid monolithic billet without any welding, gluing, or assembled joints — eliminating all residual stress distortion and long-term drift common on fabricated angle brackets.
Every feature is machined in a single zero-setup clamping cycle on our high-speed vertical milling center, so all datum references, mounting holes, precision bores, and locating slots share one unified coordinate system. No secondary re-clamping misalignment, no accumulated tolerance stackup. All internal corners are cut with standard undercut end mills to leave clean, burr-free radii, with no handwork required on critical reference surfaces.
The part arrives 100% inspected: every dimension is verified via CMM (coordinate measuring machine), thread holes are tapped and gauged, and all through bores are deburred and chamfered on both inlet and outlet to prevent chip buildup during assembly. It is ready to be used as a right-angle fixture stop, linear guide mounting plate, optical stage support, automation robot bracket, or custom test jig component immediately out of the box.
We support over 25+ industrial engineering materials for this L-type part, with dedicated optimized milling parameters for every grade to guarantee surface quality, tolerance retention, and chip clearance:
6061-T6 / T651: General workhorse industrial aluminum, excellent machinability, high thermal conductivity, good corrosion resistance, perfect for structural brackets, automation frames, and general fixture use. Chips break clean, leaves a bright uniform brushed surface after milling, accepts anodization (clear, black, color) extremely well.
7075-T6 / T7351: Aerospace high-strength aluminum, nearly double the tensile strength of 6061, ideal for high-load dynamic applications, UAV drone structure parts, and defense equipment where strength-to-weight ratio is critical. We use low-vibration tool paths to avoid material warp in thin web sections.
6063, 5052, 5083, 2024, 6082: Available on request, matched to your specific corrosion, forming, or welding requirements.
Mild Steel (1018 / 1045): Low-cost high rigidity option, perfect for heavy-duty workholding jigs, mill fixtures, and welding positioning blocks; can be subsequently black oxide, powder coat, or phosphate treated.
303 / 304 / 316 Stainless Steel: For food processing, medical, marine, and high-corrosion environments. We use dedicated stainless-steel tooling and flood coolant to prevent work hardening, maintain sharp clean edges, and hold full tolerance on all bores.
4140 / 420 Pre-Hardened Steel: For mold components, high-wear fixture stops, and tooling parts that need repeated thousands of cycles without deformation.
Aluminum + Steel Insert Hybrid: For high thread load applications we press-fit hardened steel helicoil inserts directly into aluminum bodies to eliminate thread stripping.
Delrin / Acetal: Low friction, zero moisture absorption, excellent for non-marring fixture contact faces and motion components.
PEEK: High-temperature resistant, FDA/medical grade, used in semiconductor and surgical equipment jigs.
POM, Nylon 6/66, PC, Acrylic, UHMW, G10 FR4 Glass Epoxy: All available with tight tolerance milling, no melting or burnt edges.
Brass / Copper / Bronze: For electrical contact, thermal heat sink, and aesthetic decorative applications.
A1: For standard 6061 aluminum we reliably hold ±0.002mm on bores and datum surfaces, ±0.005mm on general feature dimensions. For stainless steel and hard materials we guarantee ±0.01mm across all production runs. All critical dimensions from your drawing will be flagged 100% for CMM inspection before shipping.
A2: Yes. We keep full inventory of all common aluminum, steel, and plastic grades on the shop floor, and run dedicated finishing lines: clear anodize, black hard anodize (50μm thickness), color dyed anodize, bead blast, electropolish, passivation, and black oxide are all done in-house. We will send you a pre-production material/finish sample for confirmation before full batch machining if requested.
A3: 100%. We follow your native STEP/CAD file 1:1 exactly, no design for manufacturing (DFM) changes applied without your explicit written approval. Our machinists will only contact you if there is a feature conflict that physically cannot be cut with standard tooling, otherwise the part will come off the mill exactly as your model defines it.
A4: We accept STEP, IGES, DXF, SolidWorks, AutoCAD DWG, PDF 2D drawing, STL, and even clear photos + dimensioned hand sketches. Our engineering team will reverse-engineer a fully dimensioned 3D model for your approval before we start any milling work, with no extra engineering charge for prototype orders.
A5: We use stress-relieved pre-treated aluminum stock (T651 temper) instead of standard T6 extruded bar, apply optimized climb milling tool paths with low radial engagement, use custom soft jaws for full support during all clamping cycles, and add a controlled stress-relief semi-finish pass before final finishing cuts — this eliminates over 99% of post-machining warp, even on thin-wall large surface area L-brackets.
